Tender is the Flesh

Our first book club meeting at a restaurant! We had a wild and wonderful time. At first, we had the place to ourselves and we enjoyed not having to be too careful. But as people started to come in, we didn't let it stop us from having a good time. No need to worry, though. Beforehand, we had created a code word. Whenever we needed to say 'cannibalism' we instead said 'scrapbooking'.  Problem solved.

We had a lively and thorough conversation and it was mostly about the book. Our appetizers were Elote Ribs and they were not what we expected but very tasty. (Sadly, I forgot to get a photo of them.) Tami had a small water spill but it was my fault for making a face at her while she was trying to tell a story. Our poor little waitress was brand new and we were a raucous early experience for her. Hopefully, a generous tip kept her optimistic.
